While traveling through Tallahassee, Florida we opted to make a stop to get pictures of this memorial.
The memorial was across the street from the Florida Historic Capitol Museum. The state Capitol is located directly behind the museum.
The memorial has a stone pillar that is difficult to read.
It basically honors those from Florida that served or died during the Vietnam War.
It was with mixed feelings to know that people are still leaving items to honor those that served. My favorite was the six-pack – probably left by a buddy.
This is one of those memorials that is best seen in person. Photographs of the granite do not do it justice.
