Our Year in Review:
It was a heck of a year for us as we officially started our blog. We were able to take short trips around the Dallas area, travel for 5 extended trips, and knock off some of our places on our bucket list. While not everything has made it onto our website yet, we have plenty of content to carry us through to our next trip.
In addition to our travel site trips to places around America, I personally traveled 13 times for work to Mexico, Canada, and Thailand. No matter where I travel throughout the world my favorite place to travel is still the USA.
Our first trip of the year took us through southern Kansas, southern Colorado, and northwestern Texas. Above is from Wichita, Kansas at the Keeper of the Plains memorial.
Our second trip in the spring took us through Oklahoma, Arkansas, and up into southern Missouri. We went to the Fantastic Caverns near Springfield, MO.
Our early summer trip took us all the way to Washington D.C. where I was fortunate enough to go up into the Washington Monument. Nice view! We traveled through Arkansas, Tennessee, and Virginia to get there and found many sites along the way.
On of our favorite trips was over Labor Day. We traveled up through Colorado, a little Wyoming, and finally South Dakota where we saw some fantastic sites. The return trip took us down through Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Many interesting sites along the way but we got to see the magnificent sites of Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse. These are must see sites for the travel enthusiast.
Just when we thought we were done traveling for the year, we had an opportunity to go to Florida. This has been on our radar for sometime now. Way too short of a trip but lots of fun and wonderful sites that we found as we traveled the Gulf Coast through Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.
We have more planned for 2017 including a 2 week trip back to California and Oregon. We also will make some time to finally see southern and western Texas. Hope you will follow along and tell your friends. Thanks for viewing.
