We found this Veterans Memorial in Canton, Texas while we were visiting 1st Monday Trade Days. This is a stunning memorial that has equipment representing all branches of our military. Above is an F4 Phantom representing the Air Force.
A Huey helicopter represents the Marine Corps.
Since they could not fit an entire ship here, they have an anchor that represents the Navy.
An artillery gun and truck represent the Army.
And finally they did find room for a Coast Guard ship.
All of the services are displayed.
There is also a pair of pillars that are beautifully engraved (check out the close up pictures). They form and archway to the “Never Forgotten” soldier statue.
This statue represents all of those in all of the branches that have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
