We found this memorial while passing by. The F-4 Phantom display caught my eye pretty quickly.

The park is dedicated to a local veteran declared MIA while fighting in Vietnam.

War-Memorial-Fremont-County – Wall of Names and F-4

This is a beautiful memorial park with an F-4 Phantom featured prominently in front. The wall of names is behind the flagpoles.

While the park is dedicated to one veteran, the names on this wall list all of those that fought and died in service for their country. And there are a lot of names on this wall.

The park has several pieces of military hardware primarily from the Vietnam War era. You can actually get up and close to these pieces of history.

One of the more unique features of this park is the Penny Project. The sign above (In God we trust) is decorated with pennys that give it it’s copper tone. Each penny represents a lost veteran to the Vietnam War.

Beautiful Memorial Park dedicated to the local veterans. Love the equipment on display.
